2011 RaceTech Big Piston Fork (BPF) kits

Race Tech announced custom fork setup for Showa’s Big Piston Forks.

Race Tech’s newest Fork Gold Valve Kits are for the Showa BPF forks found on the new 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R and Harley-Davidson XR1200 (FMGV S3901C), and the 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600 (FMGV S3701C). The stock BPF design has an oversized, yet very restrictive singular piston that is required to flow more than 10 times the fluid of a standard cartridge. This creates harshness and contributes to fork chatter during braking.

Race Tech’s Gold Valve Kits for the BPF Fork’s address three major problems. First, the Gold Valve improves the flow characteristics dramatically. Second, the travel is increased to improve bump absorption particularly under heavy braking. It also increases front end Trail, thereby improving stability and grip. Third, the stock bottom-out mechanism is short and abrupt. The Race Tech kits make the bottoming process more gradual, decreases front brake chatter and improves traction.

Race Tech’s Gold Valve Fork Kits provide custom valve settings for the individual and improves handling, control, and the ride dramatically. In addition, Race Tech has developed two unique tools that are a must-have for the Showa BPF fork. The TFCW 4549 is a 45/49mm Fork Cap Wrench and TFCH 06 is a special Cartridge tool to remove and replace the seal head.
